Description - A full pictorial map of the Lake District from Cockermouth and Penrith in the north to Barrow-in-Furness and Carnforth in the south, including a number of small vignettes. The lakes shown include Bassenthwaite, Derwentwater, Buttermere, Ullswater, Windermere and Coniston. The peaks include Great Gable, Scafell, Langdale, Helvellyn and Skiddaw.
It also shows all the railway lines which then existed through the area, showing how easily accessible it all still was by train at the time.
