Title - The Clyde (Stock poster with DEPV Talisman).
Location - Argyllshire, Buteshire, Scotland.
Artist - Frank H Mason (1875-1965).
Description - Across the top is a wonderful image of the River Clyde in just red, blue and black. The LNER's then-new 'DEPV Talisman', the world's first diesel-electric paddle vessel is shown on the Clyde surrounded by yachts. She was a passenger ferry, based at Craigendoran, and regularly sailing to Dunoon, Rothesay and the Kyles of Bute. This is a Stock poster, where the image would have been printed separately, with the wording added later in letterpress form. This way, a part-pictorial poster image could be used for multiple advertising purposes. This is a rare unused example.
