Description - A warm sunny day at Leeds station with a blue sky, is seen by the use of clever reflections in the side of a new Intercity train. In 1991 Intercity commissioned the artist Brendan Neiland R.A. to paint a series of five works to celebrate the electrification of the East Coast Main Line from London King's Cross, and the full introduction of the full IC225 fleet. The other locations painted were Kings Cross, York, Newcastle and Edinburgh.

Professor Brendan Neiland is an English artist best known for his paintings of reflections in modern city buildings. In 1992 he was elected into the RA. His work is widely exhibited. He produced a series of posters for Intercity in the early 1990s involving reflections, and a series for Scotrail in 1996, with a new take on scenic and architectural Scottish sites.
