Description - A psychedelic image from the 1930s, in the form of a mosaic pattern forming a map of the Irish Sea and Ireland, with the British coast and the routes of the ferries. At the bottom is a vision of one of the ferries and some smaller boats at sea near a rocky coast. Quite amazing artwork from an artist who appears to be completely unknown.

Size - Quad Royal (approx 50 x 40in or 127 x 102cm) plus linen border.

Grade: B+, we have had this poster conservation-backed on linen. For more details of the process please see the "Conservation" page of this website.
Prior to linen backing the poster had light folds, a little left edge discolouration, and some insect damage. The holes from the damage have been restored with paper infills and watercolour restoration of the small missing pieces of the wording and image. More detailed photos are available on request if required.
