Title - British Rail Eastern Region (System Map).
Description - A stylised system map of the Eastern Region of British Rail (the new name for British Railways) in 1966, once the drastic Beeching closures were underway, showing a region gradually shrinking its railway coverage after over a decade of line closures. From nationalisation in 1948 each region produced their own map on an ad-hoc basis as their networks gradually changed following line closures.
