- Fog Service In Force.
- This is a letterpress poster in British Railways Red and in large lettering, for ease of visibility, advising passengers that a special slow service was in operation due to foggy conditions. The Fog Service meant delays and cancellations as trains had to travel very slowly. This was a semi-regular sight after the war right through to the mid 1960s and the start of the urban smokeless zones. Year Published
