- A large image of the Southern Region's flagship train, providing a Pullman service between London and Paris. The Golden Arrow train is seen headed by a Britannia class locomotive in full flow through the Kent countryside, with the Summer 1956 timetable below. The poster was originally printed in 1953 as just the image part, and then went back to a printers to have the latest timetable section overprinted at the bottom; in this case Summer 1956. This meant that one piece of poster artwork could be re-used for posters over a number of years.

Year Published - 1953 and 1956
Size - Double Royal  (approx 40 x 25 inches, but in this case approx 100 x 60.5cm) plus linen border.

Condition Grade and Condition Report:
Grade: B+, conservation-backed on linen.
Quite stiff linen, small repaired left edge tear/loss, minor evidence of old 'X' in pencil across the bottom half and fold wear, the borders may have had a slight trim when the poster was linen backed. More detailed photos available on request.
