Title - Great Western Railway GWR– (Map of System and Connections).
Description - An extremely detailed system map poster of the whole Great Western Railway. It shows large numbers of lines and stations which were later to be closed, and also shows other companies' connecting lines in a format which makes them appear rather less important. It is evident from this map that very few towns and villages at that time were far from a railway line. We can date it to approx 1935, as it includes some stations which were closed between 1936-39, and does not include some closed in 1935. It also includes the Irish Free State, which changed in 1937 to Eire.
