- A Tramways (London Transport) poster showing Austin Cooper's vision of King Henry VIII and his coat of arms, and requesting that we visit Hampton Court by Tram to see The Great Hall and the King's Wine Cellars. This poster was acquired from a family in Australia who had owned it since 1978, it having already been linen-backed at that time.

Condition Grade and Condition Report:
Grade: B+, historically conservation-backed on linen.
Damp stain at bottom, pin holes in 8 places around the edge, some possible restoration may have taken place to right middle. More detailed photos are available on request if required.

More About The Artist:
Austin Cooper settled in London in 1922, and started his poster designing career with his first commission from London Transport, for whom he produced a lot of work. He later produced works for the LNER, and for the Empire Marketing Board. In 1943 he moved on to become a full time painter.
