Title - Harwich Hook of Holland - Night and Day Services from Liverpool Street.
- Pieter Huveneers (c1926-).

- A very clever eye-catching design, splitting the poster and all it's contents into two. One side is night, the other is day, with sun and moon and stars, lightness and darkness of both sky and sea, and cabin lights at night. The service was a joint operation with British Railways operating the night service, and Dutch ferry operator Zeelend SS Co the day service. Both company names appear at the bottom of the poster.

More About The Artist:
Pieter Huveneers was born in Holland. By the 1950s he was producing a large number of posters and designs for the British GPO, and also for BOAC, Schweppes, ICI, Pepsi Cola, Philips, Mullard, British Titan, General Electric Company, British Aluminium Company, Babcock. He produced a small number of posters for British Railways, largely for Harwich to Hook of Holland services in the early 1960s.
He then moved back to Holland before emmigrating to Australia in the late 60s where he set up a design company which produced some of modern Australia's most iconic company brandings, including Australia Post, Telecom Australia, and Westpac Bank.
