Description
- A wonderfully lit view of the ferry "Cambria" serenely crossing a choppy sea. The wording at the bottom explains that this was one of two ferries used on the overnight services, and fitted with anti-roll stabilisers, to make light work of the choppy conditions.

More About The Artist:
Claude Henry Buckle was born in London in 1905. He trained as an architect, but turned to art in 1928. He produced commissioned artwork for the new nuclear power stations around the country in the 1950s, and was a close friend of Terence Cuneo. He was a painter in oils and watercolour, particularly of marine subjects, and was prolific in his production of artwork for railway posters. He produced posters for GWR, LMS, SR & BR.
