Location - Loch Eck, Argyllshire, Scotland.
Artist - Frank Sherwin (1896-1986).
Description - A lovely tranquil view of the waters and mountains of Loch Eck, north of Dunoon, lying within what is now the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park. Artist Frank Sherwin has shown a small sailing boat on the loch and a couple of hikers checking a map, to suggest it could be a destination for outdoor activities. The tagline at the bottom also advised that it could be seen as part of an organised trip.

Frank Sherwin was a marine & landscape painter in oil & watercolour and a poster designer. He was born in Derby in 1896, the son of a painter.
He served in WW2 as a camouflage advisor around East Anglian airfields, and achieved a prolific output of art for the railways with posters for GWR, LMS, LNER & BR.
