Dorritt Dekk was born Dorothy Karoline Fuhrmann in Czechoslovakia. She became a theatre designer in Austria in the years before Hitler's occupation. She left while she could in 1938 and moved to London, transferring over to commercial design. She was a radio intelligence officer during the war.
She worked at the Central Office of Information for a few years, and produced work for companies including Air France and P&O as well as this one poster for London Transport.
