This poster is one of a series of 6 produced in 1924 by the Underground Electric Railways of London Limited (UERL) subtitled "The General Way" to encourage bus trips to the countryside all around London using their bus services. It is rare to find these destinations on any travel-related posters.

Size - Double Royal  (approx 40 x 25in or 101.5 x 63.5cm) plus linen border.

More About The Artist:
Elijah Albert Cox was a mural painter and poster artist for railway and shipping companies, and the Empire Marketing Board. He designed Underground Group posters from 1915-1926. The original artwork was painted in gouache, and is in the London Transport Museum collection.
