Title - Britain's Most Exciting Train - Midland Pullman - The last word in rail comfort.
Artist - Studio Seven.
Description - The first Blue Pullmans were introduced on the London Midland Region in 1960, with this poster produced in 1961 to encourage patronage by showing an artistic view of smiling businessmen and a well-dressed couple alighting from the train and a smiling porter carrying luggage. At the bottom is a basic timetable and an outside view of the train.
The trains were not fully successful and only lasted 13 years in service, but they did help to inspire the HSTs which are still in service today.
