Northward Bound - Myers Summary

Title - Northward Bound - King's Cross for Scotland.
- Bernard Louis Myers (1925-2007).

- Abstract themes come together to suggest the journey north across Hadrian's Wall, through green fields, past clear signals and towards the blue and white of Scotland. This is one of a series of posters by this artist, each in a semi-abstract post-impressionist style. In this way it is very different from most railway advertising posters, which tended to be realistic, kitsch or design-inspired.
