- This wonderful view of the promenade, beach and bathing pool in the centre of Penzance, and the exotic plants give a sub-tropical feel. In the background is St Michael's Mount and Marazion, with a variety of yachts in the bay, and the original "Scillonian" ferry arriving from the Isles of Scilly.

Harry Riley was a hugely talented artist who worked in a wide range of media. He is probably best known for the posters that he did for British Railways, BOAC and Quantas and his work now is highly sought-after. He was a member of The Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour.
