Title - Rheidol Valley (1961 Timetable).
Location - Rheidol Valley, Cardiganshire, Wales.
Artist - Photo.
Description - A very atmospheric photograph of a narrow gauge steam train with it's locomotive producing a powerful display of smoke as it blasts up the hillside in mid Wales. The right half of the poster shows the timetable for the summer season service, with times for Aberystwyth, Llanbadarn and Devil's Bridge, and prices of Single and Return fares. These were British Railways' only narrow gauge trains, and then their only steam following the official end of steam in 1968. Timetable posters for the line were released every year throughout the 1950s and 60s.
