Description - A fabulous cartoon style design for the summer season (plus Easter weekend) non-sleeper overnight service between London and Scotland. The smiling cartoon British Railways worker appears to be coming out of the chimney of a steam locomotive. The service had run since 1953, with a number of advertising posters produced to promote it.

More About The Artist:
Pieter Huveneers was born in Holland. By the 1950s he was producing a large number of posters and designs for the British GPO, and also for BOAC, Schweppes, ICI, Pepsi Cola, Philips, Mullard, British Titan, General Electric Company, British Aluminium Company, Babcock. He produced a small number of posters for British Railways in the 1950s to early 1960s.
He then moved back to Holland before emmigrating to Australia in the late 60s where he set up a design company which produced some of modern Australia's most iconic company brandings, including Australia Post, Telecom Australia, and Westpac Bank.
