Description - Windsor was a regular destination on posters, but not normally involving ghosts! Bainbridge's example shows an American tourist and his 'guide', and a view of the castle through the walls. The wording is advertising Conducted Coach Tours and Green Line Coaches. London Transport have often used poetry in various forms on their posters over many years.

John Bainbridge was born in Sydney, Australia. He moved to the UK after the war, working as an exhibition designer, poster artist, documentary film maker, and designed of theatre sets and costumes. He produced a small number of posters for London Transport.
